Cape Life International student placements works on behalf of international students
and young professionals to facilitate professional internships/work experience placements
within Cape Town, South Africa.
All internships are with reputable companies and are custom-designed to meet the
applicants' training requirements as well as any University academic credits if required.
Our priority is to place an intern in a company that offers them a positive learning
experience, while at the same time satisfying the requirements of the company.

| What is an internship programme? |
|
An internship is work experience gained in a company and is a very common aspect of
business in Europe and America.
Often the internship will form part of ones higher educational studies.
The intern is
involved with the operations of the company and thus gains insight into the functions
of the business.
Internships generally range between three to six months.

| How it works |

We will asses your specific requirement; educational background, additional language
abilities, length of internship and so on based on the information submitted through
our company contact form.

We then review our database of students, or alternatively post your internship
online and find you the perfect match.

Next, we assess the student again to make sure they fit your exact requirements.
We then inform you of the result and send you an outline of the students' details
and a possible start date.

We will maintain contact with the student and the host company during the
internship to make sure all is going smoothly and both parties are satisfied
with the internship.

At the end of the internship we send you a feedback form to make sure we know
what you were happy about or the need for any fine tuning for the next intern.
Once you have taken on your first interns, the process then runs very smoothly
with minimum or no interruption and almost no supervision. We will then continually
rotate the interns for you. So the outgoing intern would be the one performing the
handover with absolutely no time wasted on your part.

The internship concept is actually an old concept in Europe and the USA. Most university
undergraduates there are now required to complete at least one semester of their studies
doing an internship.
The host company and the student are in a win-win situation with the company receiving
the following benefits:

| Cape Life's requirements for an intern application |
|
Students of every subject are encouraged to apply for an internship.
Applicants should be in or have completed their 2nd year of study at University. All other applicants should have at least one-year work experience in the field they want to apply for an internship, or finished as a trainee.
Our applicants must over the age of 20.
And have:
Good English skills
A valid passport,
A valid visa
Overseas insurance
Motivation
And a keen interest in the field of internship.
